Anytime something is labeled as the best, it all depends on who is saying it and their personal preferences or on the results of the study they have just done to determine which is best. So, whether you are a Ford or Chevy lover, will buy only American made cars, or prefer cars to SUVs is going to make a big difference on which you choose as the best AWD cars in today’s market.

One manufacturer of some very popular all-wheel drive vehicles is Subaru. The Forester and the Impreza are a couple of their models which are ranked high in the world of AWDs. The BuicK LaCrosse is a General Motors product that offers a very comfortable and extremely quiet ride along with the option for all-wheel drive. That option is available on the 280 bhp V-6 model. The four cylinder version of the LaCrosse is available only in front-wheel drive.

It is a minivan with an all-wheel drive system that makes it stand apart from other minivans. It comfortably seats seven people and has lots of cargo area. Its 3.5-liter V-6 engine with 266 horsepower and five speed automatic allow it to go from zero to 60 mph in under eight seconds.

In the luxury sedan class, the Acura RL stands out as a favorite for winter driving. Its all-wheel drive system is outstanding and gives the car stability in even the worst weather and driving conditions.
